WHO ARE WE?
I opened my photography studio in Odessa, Texas in 1970. For more than three and one half decades, with the help of my wife Ann, have offered what I believed to be the finest quality portraits available. In 2001, I realized the fantastic possibilities of digital photography, and began the transition. I am now 100% digital, and was one of the first (if not the first) photographers in the Permian Basin to offer digital imaging to my customers.
I was a member of the Professional Photographers of America for over 27 years, and earned the recognition of Master of Photography, and Photographic Craftsman. I am the only photographer in Odessa to earn these professional degrees by this international organization. I am also a life member of the Texas Professional Photographers' Association, and served as President of the organization in 2003 - 2004. The TPPA is the largest association of its kind, with over 1,500 members. In the 106 years the TPPA has been organized, no other photographer from Odessa has ever served as president of this association.
For many years I have continued to enter professional photographic print competitions and to earn awards, which I believe gives me an opportunity to enhance my ability, in order to provide my customers with the most creative, up-to-date photography.
I have been at my present location, close to downtown, since 1980, and have been able to build a small rustic outdoor area that is very popular with high school seniors.
One of my greatest rewards, outside photographing people is to share what I have learned with other photographers. I have presented lectures in New Orleans, Denver, Las Vegas, Reno, Honolulu, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and most major cities in Texas.
